European levels:

The levels of language command are classified by the Common European Framework which is an internationally recognised classification of exams and levels accepted by the Council of Europe. The system thoroughly defines the range of language skills which must be mastered by the learners of a language to be able to communicate in it, and to ensure that the communication is set properly in any given sociolinguistic context.

The Glastonbury Festival

The Glastonbury Festival is possibly the most popular music festival in Britain and attracts all the best bands. The popularity of Glastonbury is largely due to the ethos of its founder and organiser, a dairy farmer called Michael Eavis. Glastonbury is possibly the only major festival which is non-sponsored and privately run and Eavis gives all the profits from the festival to charity.

Eavis held the first festival on his 150-acre dairy farm in Somerset in September 1970. The following year the festival attracted over 12000 people but Eavis was unhappy because of the effects of the festival on his cows. However, he continued to organise the event and today he moves his cows off the farm during the festival weekend.
