Poziomy europejskie

European levels:

The levels of language command are classified by the Common European Framework which is an internationally recognised classification of exams and levels accepted by the Council of Europe. The system thoroughly defines the range of language skills which must be mastered by the learners of a language to be able to communicate in it, and to ensure that the communication is set properly in any given sociolinguistic context.

The levels classified by the system:

C2 Mastery
C1 EOP - Effective Operational Proficiency
B2 Vantage
B1 Threshold
A2 Waystage
A1 Breakthrough

Roborats

In a surprising scientific breakthrough, researchers announced that they had created a roborat which they could control from a distance. The animal is equipped with a device on its head which sends electric impulses to its brain. It can be radio controlled from a distance of up to 450 metres. The technique is simple. The controller either stimulates the pleasure centre or the pain centre of the animal’s brain according to what he or she wants the animal to do.

In the future, these rats may be used to locate people who are trapped in collapsed buildings, after an earthquake, for instance. They could also be trained to locate land mines and take part in spy operations.
