Poziomy europejskie

European levels:

The levels of language command are classified by the Common European Framework which is an internationally recognised classification of exams and levels accepted by the Council of Europe. The system thoroughly defines the range of language skills which must be mastered by the learners of a language to be able to communicate in it, and to ensure that the communication is set properly in any given sociolinguistic context.

The levels classified by the system:

C2 Mastery
C1 EOP - Effective Operational Proficiency
B2 Vantage
B1 Threshold
A2 Waystage

European men are growing taller

Two centuries ago, American men were very tall; they were taller than Europeans. Today the situation is very different. It is the opposite – Europeans are taller than Americans. And the tallest of all are the Dutch.

We don't know the reason for this difference. And we don't know why Americans are not growing. Some people think it is because healthcare in Europe is very good, especially for small babies. In America many people don't get good healthcare. Another possible reason is the different foods we eat. Americans eat a lot of food and they are very fat: but perhaps they are not eating the right kinds of food.
